Jannet Murraywas born in 8 June 1946. She is currently working as a professor at Georgia Institute of Technology, School of Literature, Media and Communication. She also worked at MIT in the Center for Educational Computing Initiatives. She is a prominent figure in the media sector as well, aside from communication and media studies. She did many projects and researches on stories.
One of her major contributions in the media studies was her works on digital humanities. She also wrote a book titled “Hamlet on the Holodeck: The Future of Narrative in Cyberspace”. She talks about the unique characteristics of the digital media, how it shapes the stories in the modern world. She describes the current state of digital storytelling; the interactive narratives like video games. She then talks about how this new storytelling opportunity can be developed into a form of art.
