Title of the articleMicrosoft Unwraps New Management Features for AzureThe main idea of Azure Log Analytics is a service in Azure cloud that monitors the cloud and on-premises environments to maintain their availability and performance. We can use monitoring if we have no current monitoring in place for our Azure environment then we should start with Azure Monitor. The azure monitor collects and analyzes monitoring data for Azure resources. Log Analytics can collect data from Azure Monitor to correlate it with other data also provide additional analysis. When we need to monitor on-premises environment then log analytics can add significant value. If the environment have existing monitoring using services (system center operation manager) then also lgonanalytics can add useful value. We can access Log Analytics through the Azure portal, which runs in any browser and provide with access to configuration settings and multiple tools to analyze and act on collected data. Log Analytics includes a query language to quickly retrieve and consolidate data in the repository. Create and save Log Searches to directly analyze data in the portal or have log searches run automatically to create an alert if the results of the query indicate an important condition. With the Azure Log Analytics Container Monitoring solution for Linux clusters we can centralize and correlate millions of logs from containers at scale in the cloud. We can see real-time metrics on CPU, memory, storage, network usage, and performance for containers and nodes. It’s easy to identify containers that consume excess resources on a host also monitor resource usage. Also able to view overall container node inventory. Now general availability (GA) release of the Container Monitoring management feature for Azure Log Analytics, which is now available via the Azure Marketplace.Network Watcher is a service that enables to monitor and diagnose conditions at a network scenario. Network diagnostic and visualization tools available with Network Watcher helps to understand, diagnose, and gain insights to the network in Azure. The connectivity check feature in Azure Network Watcher is in public preview. We can use Network Watcher to test a direct TCP connection from a virtual machine to a virtual machine,URI,IPv4 address. All these are implemented through Network Security Groups, firewalls, user-defined routes, and resources provided by Azure. Complex configurations make troubleshooting connectivity problems challenging. Network Watcher helps reduce the amount of time to find and detect connectivity problems. The returned results can provide insights into whether a connectivity problem is due to a platform or a user configuration problem. The connectivity can be checked with PowerShell, Azure CLI, and REST API. Now a preview of a new Connectivity Check feature in Azure Network Watcher, which is Microsoft’s service for “scenario-based monitoring” of Azure network resource interactions.Azure Monitor is the built-in platform monitoring service that provides a single pipeline for monitoring and diagnostics data across all Azure services, enabling a user to monitor, diagnose, and get alerts & notifications of problems in cloud infrastructure. It will be added two new tools and increase the capabilities. One new feature is the ability to create multiple resource diagnostic settings per resource. The second new Azure Monitor feature in preview helps organizations with multiple Azure subscriptions. They can now write the monitoring data across subscriptions.Azure Blob storage is a service for storing large amounts of unstructured data objects example text or binary data these data can be accessed from anywhere in the world using HTTP, HTTPS.Common uses of Blob storage are serving images or documents directly to a browser. Storing files for distributed access. Streaming video and audio. Storing data for backup and restore, disaster recovery, Storing data for analysis by an on-premises and archiving.Storage account is a important component of blob service and its all access to Azure Storage is done through a storage account. This storage account can be a General-purpose storage account or a Blob storage account, which is specialized for storing objects or blobs. And a container provides a grouping of a set of blobs. All blobs must be in a container. An account can contain an unlimited number of containers. A container can store an unlimited number of blobs. Blob is also a key component of blob service. Azure Storage offers three types of blobs: block blobs, append blobs, and page blobs. However, Now added Archive Blob Storage and a Blob-Level Tiering capability. The Archive Blob Storage offering is a low-cost that delivering durable, highly available, secure cloud storage for rarely accessed data. In addition, the Blob-Level Tiering is an option for Azure Blob Storage accounts. It permits organizations to change the access tier of a blob among the Hot, Cool, or Archive tiers. It’s possible for all three tiers to make coexist within the same account. Blob-Level Tiering supports ASP.NET, C#.NET, MVC.NET, Node.js client libraries. Which is amazing for cutting edge technology lover.Azure Analysis Services supports the shared On-Premises Data Gateway which is used with Power BI, Flow, Logic Apps, and PowerApps. The on-premises data gateway acts as a bridge, providing secure data transfer between on-premises data sources and Azure Analysis Services servers in the cloud. It has 4 setps to set up the gateway download and run set up, Register getway, Create a gateway resource in azure, connect servers to gateway resource. Let’s explain little bit. Here are the gateway we installed on a computer in the organization runs as a Windows service, On-premises data gateway. This local service is registered with the Gateway Cloud Service through Azure Service Bus. Then create a gateway resource Gateway Cloud Service for the Azure subscription. Azure Analysis Services servers are then connected to that gateway resource. When models on that server need to connect to that on-premises data sources for queries or processing, a query and data flow traverses the gateway resource, Azure Service Bus, the local on-premises data gateway service, and the data sources. Now Azure Analysis Services has support for a shared gateway used on the customer’s premises. This gateway, called the “On-Premises Data Gateway,” is used to support the use of Microsoft Flow, Logic Apps, PowerApps and Power BI services. Enterprise application builder team or Company or Organization typically might use the On-Premises Data Gateway when they want to secure data locally that’s used with those services.
